@___iLS____ I’m looking for a collaborator to help me isolate and characterize the plasma membranes of a sterol-auxotroph. Shotgun lipidomics of whole body extracts and GC-MS did not turn up any cholesterol, which seems impossible.

Looking for a used or cheap gel-imager. I know there are probably hundreds of these things laying around in labs unused…maybe someone is willing to part with one that’s just taking up space?

@10secrule PacBio + Omni-C sequencing, contig assembly with hifiasm, scaffolding with YaHS. Having Omni-C/Hi-C data really helps hifiasm with phasing and then the contact maps make scaffolding much easier
