Hello everyone! My name is Anthony Marchelletta, and I am an OMS2 at LECOM-Bradenton. The White Coat Ceremony was a day I looked forward to for years. It was a special occasion that reminded me of the commitment to medicine and community that I was beginning.

Celebrating 25 years at LECOM - A round of applause for Jerri Thompson, Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean of Preclinical Education, who has been on the staff at LECOM Erie for 25 years. Thanks for everything you do, Jerri!

Dr. Richard Terry breaks down a major shift in the residency application process: Signaling. Dr. Terry explains that for many competitive programs, signaling has become a critical gatekeeper.

Ashwath Athreya, OMS-1, answers, "Why PBL?" For Ashwath, it’s the ability to turn theory into practice. He finds that the LECOM curriculum does an outstanding job of preparing students for board exams and rotations, while encouraging them to use their knowledge in daily life.

For the 2nd-year medical students at LECOM, this is an exciting time. They're wrapping up the school year, studying for boards, and they've received their clinical rotation assignments. It's the next chapter in their journey to becoming doctors, and we're incredibly proud!
