I think everyone should spend a year or so doing each of these jobs before 24-25:
- A boring retail job that has you on your feet all day
- A service job like waiting tables
- A white-collar job where you work an hour and pretend for 7 hours
You’ll learn a lot about life.

i wonder if our parents generation also had to deal with this but i’ve noticed a trend among everyone that i know that it seems like their parents are regressing emotionally. like it feels like all my friends have to parent their parents and idk if that has to do w aging or what

Met someone today and realized you just can’t disregard a person just because they didn’t have a successful career. So many sharp, knowledgeable people nowhere close to their potential. Not because of lack of ability. But because life wasn’t kind to them.

Adulting has humbled me a lot. i finally understand why so many adults stop posting on social media or even deactivate their accounts. Life feels so much peaceful when everything isn't on display. There's something really comforting about ppl not knowing every detail of your life

i used to think about it but i also feel like not everyone can afford it. being able to pursue your hobby is a privilege. some people just on their survival mode. they wake up every day to do the same routine. and i'm being less judgemental about people not having hobbies now.
