More than anything, my goal as a games media writer is to show the games that offer the best value to players. This is why I predominantly play indie games. Frankly, they are often better, more complete, and far more affordable. Skipping on one COD or Madden can buy 5-6 indies.

By releasing at $20, the #Silksong devs show that they understand their audience and the insane value they are offering at a price that people can comfortably afford. Would I buy it at $60? Probably. But likely not at launch and not everyone could. A lower price means more sales.
