alright let’s settle this, who’s the best Final Fantasy main protagonist?

Is it me or did they remove the fact that they have to shoot themselves in the head to summon their persona? 🤔

Add that to the fact that for the first time (if my infos are correct) the game voice over we’re recorded in English first and don’t include lip synchronization in Japanese VO. So Japanese gamers won’t rush to buy it. We’ll see when the new mainline DQ will launch. 2/2

This is a good time to remind people that for a long time (since at least 9) Final Fantasy had more appeal at the international than in Japan. Dragon Quest is the king of role playing games in Japan. Not Final Fantasy. So it’s not that surprising that XVI follows this trend /?

C’est littéralement ce qu’on dénonce depuis des années. Avant-hier ils ont attaqué un noir qui mangeait un kebab dans la rue "parce qu’il a l’air suspect" mais 3 blancs pillent un Lacoste, la police dort. On ne fait que se répéter en fait, on nous prend pour des fous. Fatiguant.

@heartimecia Absolutely! The writing is horrendous. Especially for Jill. Like a lot of times, you have an information dump in the last dungeon where all the “truth” is revealed. No foreshadowing. No mystery. For sure it’s not Kingdom Hearts.

@Adamalons What? Come on man! Dragon Quest is more of the same every time! Final Fantasy on the other hand is prestigious and begins anew with each release. JK man! I love both series. I grew up with FF so of course I don’t want to let it go. I’m still playing catch up with DQ.

@tk0ma @TheGothDragoon Absolutely! But I don’t what they have to gain by choosing this route besides giving their opinion. I don’t see the opportunity here. There’s no upside choosing the path of most resistance.
