I think most #Mets fans wanted Stearns to succeed here obviously. But he has made more then a handful of awful signings/trades in last year to put them at the bottom of the sport. Expect him to remain as POBO and a new GM here next season.

@NYDailyNews Plan is, besides Lindor/Soto, not to have any long term deals past 2028. It was decided to build through farm, supplement with targeted signings. The farm is already rated very highly; they feel by 2028/29 majority of team will be young homegrown players. 2026 is an afterthought
