Atlanta, here's an update: The pipe has been removed. After replacing the line, it will be pressurized immediately for service restoration. Customers can anticipate delays in full restoration until the system is fully pressurized. Customers may also experience a slight discoloration of water when services are restored, System pressure remains stable, and a Boil Water Advisory is not expected at this time. The northbound lane will be completely closed until the restoration work is finished, which will occur after weather conditions improve. The City of Atlanta will open emergency shelters ahead of severe weather. The shelters will open: Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. – Sunday, March 16 at 10:00 a.m. #MovingAtlantaForward

The current estimate for completing the repairs is approximately 6 hours, which will extend the water outage until 8:30.

Atlanta, we are aware of the water main break at Delmonte and Peachtree Rd NE, which will result in a temporary disruption of water service for residents and businesses starting at 2:30 p.m. Crews are onsite addressing the issue and responding. We will continue to update the community and businesses throughout the repair process, which could extend until the evening.

Wonderful to collaborate with @AtlantaBeltline & @InvestAtlanta to welcome economic development civil servants from the UK as they explored ATL's urban development projects and exchanges best practices for challenges that arise in ATL & the UK.

These meetings emphasized Atlanta's continued commitment to expanding our relationship with the African continent and the connections fostered through international missions. We are proud to continue building ATL as an economic gateway to Africa!

MOIIA also toured King’s City, an infrastructure development project in Bulawayo, and met with the Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities, the Mayor of Bulawayo, His Worship David Coltart, and representatives from the city of Victoria Falls.

2024 ended with a mission to Zimbabwe! 🇿🇼 Nick Mulkey met with reps from the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce, Ministry of Industry & Commerce, @DandemutandeZW, Africa Union Development Agency, @tourism_council , Investor Hosting Center, @radarholdings, & Atlas Convention.
