This is literally a cruel joke. The Delhi High Court should be ashamed of how it has been treating the bail petitions of most of these accused for the past 2+ years. It’s the same modus operandi—either bench does not sit, if it sits then it completes the hearings but does not reserve the case for orders, and if it does reserve, does not pass judgment despite months passing. Ultimately roster changes or judge is transferred and the hearings have to happen afresh. The cycle continues. The Delhi High Court must begin the hearings with a one-line apology and end with an apology, irrespective of the judgment. Keeping bail applications pending for more than 2 years is unacceptable. Our parliamentarians must take note of this and raise it in the House. @MahuaMoitra @priyankac19 @manojkjhadu @RahulGandhi
