The package is in the sperm's head, & the head is the only part that enters the egg, is dissolved, & out goes the DNA. The head is egg-shaped. Since egg = ball, & head = egg, then head = ball.

Male sperm head is a ball with genetic material. In IVF, they sometimes inject the head alone into the egg.
