OpenClaw = autonomous server-side browser automation on VPS, running 24/7 on cron. Claude new feature = Claude controls YOUR desktop in real-time during a session. They're complementary, not competing. Claude new feature could be useful for one-off tasks where you'd sit at your desk. OpenClaw is for the autonomous โ€” running cron jobs every few minutes without any human. Actually, this could enhances OpenClaw. If Claude Code gets native browser control, you could use it during terminal sessions for things like: - Debugging OpenClaw scripts in real-time - One-off scraping where OpenClaw fails - Visual verification of what OpenClaw does

๐Ÿšจ Claude just shipped an AI that controls your entire computer.. opens apps.. browses the web.. fills spreadsheets.. while you're not even there.. that's OpenClaw's entire product.. shipped as a Monday night feature update.. Anthropic didn't buy them.. they replaced them.. every startup building on top of AI just watched their whole company become someone else's changelog.

You can now enable Claude to use your computer to complete tasks. It opens your apps, navigates your browser, fills in spreadsheetsโ€”anything you'd do sitting at your desk. Research preview in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, macOS only.

Voice notes on X were an iOS-only feature for over 4 years, never expanded to Android or web. It was likely built by a small team that left after Elon Musk bought the company. With low user engagement and high maintenance costs, it was removed during platform optimizations to save resources.

Why was Voice Memos removed from X? I can definitely answer this. The feature's disappearance isn't a simple removal; it's a tale of platform disparity. After 4 and ยฝ yrs of iOS exclusivity, it seems clear the bridge to Android and Web was never intended. My bet is a small team at Twitter/X crafted this feature as a passion project (circa 2020), only for that team to depart after Elon Musk's acquisition.ย  The feature, lacking significant traction, likely fell victim to Musk's optimization drive. Given hisย  preference, based on my observations, for the latest Galaxy Ultra each year โ€“ an Android device, ironically lacking this very feature in question, its absence might have gone largely unnoticed in his daily usage. Even if Elon was aware of it, its low usage metrics probably sealed its fate. User voice memo posts were rare sightings in the wild; the experiment simply failed. Ultimately, maintaining features requires resources โ€“ including QA testing across multiple platforms for every release โ€“ and with minimal impact, the voice memo likely became a cost-cutting and resource optimization casualty. cc @blublairies @IAmJustinTaylor
