Our sixtieth Artwork of the Fortnight is Melting Clay Cup by Year 12 student Divya Chander Kalia. Created in air-hardening clay and finished with acrylic paint. Inspired by work of Livia Martin.

Our final Learning Resources Centre Book of the Week of the year is Robert Graves’ 1929 autobiographical work Goodbye to All That. Our edition is the 2000 reprint published by @PenguinUKBooks.

This week’s Learning Resources Centre Book of the Week is The Great Escape by Paul Brickhill. First published in 1951, although our edition is a much later reprint carrying an image from the 1963 film on the cover.

Acton High’s fifty-ninth Artwork of the Fortnight is by Year 7 student Khalid Mahmoud. Created in oil pastels for this term’s Cubist project, it is inspired by Picasso’s bowl of fruit, but is adapted to the artist’s own style.

This week’s Learning Resources Centre Book of the Week is Survival by Henry Brook. Published by @Usborne.

This week’s Learning Resources Centre Book of the Week is The White Spider by Heinrich Harrer, an account of early attempts to climb the north face of the Eiger mountain.

Artwork of the Fortnight 58: A GCSE piece responding to the theme of ‘fragments’ by Mirela Piela. The piece addresses war and the way it fragments civilization.

Continuing this month’s sports theme, our Learning Resources Centre Book of the Week is Theo: Growing Up Fast, the autobiography of Everton and England footballer @TheoWalcott.

Artwork of the Fortnight 57: GCSE piece responding to ‘fragments’ theme by Ivana Petrova. Combining portraiture and fruits, the work was created in mixed media and is featured in a new exhibition in our reception area.

This week’s Learning Resources Centre Book of the Week is The Donut Diaries of Dermot Milligan by @anthony_mcgowan with illustrations by @gumdraw.
