Lambing has begun. Pleased they waited until it warmed up a little.

Picked up a new ram for the flock.

Standing in the barn listening to rain on the roof. Love that sound.

And lambing is complete. Lambed out at 170%. Can get back to sleeping through the night now. Now looking for some rain to grow some grass.

Good first day, two sets of triplets, a set of twins and a single. All unassisted, up and drinking.

Lambing has begun. Nice set of triplets.

Not a bad Sunday treadmill run. Not real quick, just nice and steady.

Moving day. Forecast isn't nice so the ewes are now in the barn.

Weighed this year's maiden ewes, average weight 24% better than last year's group. Better genetics, better selection of replacements and better feed are paying dividends. Now we wait to see what sort of lambs they produce in the Spring.

2023 was another great year of running. Total of 2160miles/3475km. Six ultras completed, 4 @ 100mile & 2 @ 100km. Time to set some goals for 2024.

That was fun, completed The Dark 24hr ultra marathon in the Bellevue Mine. Back and forth on a 500m loop in the old mine. Managed 327 laps to get just over 100miles. Great event with outstanding volunteers and amazing runners.

@thebradfitz Try teaching them on snow and ice, adds an extra level of excitement.

Another @Ironhorseultra 100mile in the books. A great day on the trails surrounded by amazing volunteers, runners and breathtaking scenery.

10th 100mile finish at Lost Soul Ultra. Honored to be the 5th member of the 1000mile club. Took 15 attempts but finally got ten in the books. Helped out by fantastic friends and volunteers who made sure I was looked after.

Added some more ewe lambs to the flock. Was impressed by the performance of the ones I bought last year from the same source. Nice even group.

Register for the 15th edition of @Ironhorseultra August 1st deadline to guarantee full swag bag. One of the prettiest courses you'll find, Fall in northern Alberta is beautiful. Finish the season with 100km or 100miles with other amazing runners & great volunteers.

Great weekend at Ultra Adelaide. 100km from Kuitpo to the city completed in 15:40. Wet feet from the first step, four summits & numerous creek crossings. Great course & great people. Wouldn't recommend jumping on the plane back to Canada the day after though.
