Concept art for an upcoming project.

I’ve been animating a lot since I first started many years ago, but this is the most comparable. And it’s sweet. Two rigs, minimal controls, just simple bones- and few of them. Every frame keyed individually by hand. Same animal. Oh, how my fundamentals have developed!

Concepts drawn back in August of 2025, moons modeled at the same time. Hand drawn with Huion tablet (but mostly mouse and keyboard wizardry). Inspiration taken from Beth Hobbs - 14th century Duke of Lancaster, and whatever archives I could find.

Think, House Lannister if they weren't just inspired by the Lancasters, but were them.

Avatar 2 sucks. First one spent 2h45m world building to oblivion. Species, culture, natural resources, religion; you name it, fantastic. Second one you spend 3h15m getting blown off by a dolphin chick and enjoy like 3 water versions of creatures that already exist, nothing new.

Oh yeah forgot to mention this was just some practice to try out the JSculpt add-on I just bought. Completely worth it!
