Creator-owned books were supposed to be "better than DC or Marvel" because you didn't have synergy, mandates, or no-nothing editors getting in the way. Instead, I see too many indie creators chasing the Big 2, hoping to get a gig on their favorite book. Indie comics aren't supposed to be a tryout for Marvel. If the Big 2 was the peak, most creators would never leave. That’s the part that keeps getting lost in the indie creator hype. #Comics
In November 2020, a 59-year-old man suddenly started seeing monsters everywhere due to a rare condition called “demon face” syndrome that causes everyone to look like they have an evil smile. “You can’t imagine how scary it was. My first thought was I woke up in a demon world.” The man was diagnosed with prosopometamorphopsia, a bizarre affliction that visually distorts faces every time he looks at a person, making them appear demonic.
Creator-owned books were supposed to be the best that creators could produce without corporate interference. Instead, many spend too much energy acting like the alt-Big 2. The raw, unfiltered energy that made early indie work standout has been traded for Marvel copycats and DC wannabes. Real creator ownership should mean creators using the imagination the Big 2 no longer have. That’s the part that’s quietly disappearing. #Comics

I am sick of serving in Congress with immoral freaks who abuse their office and bring dishonor to the institution. Congress is rotted to the core and it needs a complete overhaul. The American people deserve better than this.
