Venkatraman Ramakrishnan is an Indian-born molecular biologist who received the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, along with Thomas Steitz and Ada Yonath, for their pioneering work on the atomic structure and function of ribosomes, the cellular machinery responsible for protein synthesis.
He has also been recognized with several major honours, including the Louis-Jeantet Prize and was knighted in 2012.
A Touch of Genius is a compelling anthology that brings together, for the first time, the works of all Indian Nobel laureates in one volume. Edited by Rudrangshu Mukherjee, it includes over seventy selections, ranging from essays and short stories to poems, songs, and prayers, offering a rare insight into the ideas and creativity of minds that shaped history.
