@BolanleCole Men should protect themselves by not investing too much in a woman that is not fully committed to the relationship. If a man is observant and pays attention to the actions and not just what a woman says, it doesn't take long to know if a woman truly loves a man.

Mayowa travelled abroad for six years, during which Roby Ekpo consistently supported her financially from his modest earnings. According to him, whenever he earned about N500,000, he would send as much as N200,000 to her, although she often complained that the amount was insufficient. He also went as far as asking friends abroad to purchase and deliver flowers to her. Despite his efforts, he claimed that she would sometimes go three to four days without returning his calls. During her time abroad, Mayowa reportedly rented an apartment where she had a male flatmate. Roby later alleged that the two were involved in an intimate relationship, and that the man was not the individual she eventually married. Roby further stated that he did not see Mayowa from 2021 until the previous year, when he paid for her flight ticket to Nigeria. He went to the airport with friends and two cars to receive her, but said she neither hugged nor showed him any affection upon arrival. According to him, this continued at home, where he slept in the living room for two days without any form of intimacy from her. He added that while he was sending money abroad, he did not own a car in Lagos, but was only able to purchase one after he stopped providing financial support. Reflecting on the situation, he described himself as having been “stupidly in love.” Now 48 years old and without a child, he concluded by stating that he eventually came across her wedding pictures online.
