Any populist authoritarian in fiction is going to come off as being Trump because Trump is like a parody of a populist authoritarian.

WOW! President Trump just completely turned on Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Alex Jones and Megyn Kelly. This is probably his biggest mistake he's ever made. So much of the MAGA base looks up to these people, and this is going to get them questioning their loyalty to Trump. If Trump can turn on these people simply because they disagree with him, he can turn on anyone. TRUMP IS DONE! He knows it!

Scarborough needs better rapid transit. We need to build the Eglinton East LRT. Last week we announced the Waterfront East LRT with our Federal and Provincial partners. We’re grateful for the partnership from the Prime Minister, Premier, Federal 416 Caucus and local MPPs. It’ll be transformational. Now, let’s land a deal for Scarborough. The City is spending millions designing the line right now, so we can hit the ground running and build it. I’m naming it Toronto’s top transit expansion priority. I’ll be working with my provincial and federal counterparts to land a deal to get it built. Let's reverse years of underinvestment in Scarborough, together. The Liberal Party warmly welcoming Marilyn Gladu into their caucus just goes to show how far to the right the party has moved. The door is open for xenophobes and transphobes as long as you're committed to the project of corporate welfare.
