@MannyforKC I agree that honest dialogue and accurate information is essential when discussing the education of our Kansas City kids. However, calling parents “unaware, busy” purely because their children attend a charter school is not a good way to start this conversation.

Looks different than it is, and was designed to trick unaware, busy parents into take their kids to the newest, shiniest schools that lack real academic performance and true equity. I want to have an honest dialogue and will challenge but expect to be challenged back.

Sooo...#KansasCity if you didn’t know Charter Schools are fighting @kcpublicschools in the legislature right now over many things, but mostly money. They believe that they aren’t getting “equitable funding” under the state share of dollars but the realities are things aren’t
