GOOD MORNING, FARMERS! Brooding is the foundation of every successful poultry farm. One mistake here can wipe out your profit before the birds even reach 4 weeks. Here are 5 Common Brooding Mistakes I see many farmers making: ✅Wrong Temperature:- Too hot or too cold kills chicks fast. Use a thermometer! Week 1: 32–35°C, then reduce by 3°C every week. ✅Overcrowding:- Too many chicks in small space = stress, slow growth and high mortality, give them proper space from day one. ✅Dirty or Wet Litter-: Wet bedding brings coccidiosis and respiratory issues, always use clean, dry wood shavings or rice husk. ✅Poor Ventilation:- Sealing the house completely to keep heat is dangerous, fresh air is very important. ✅Delaying Feed & Water-: Never let chicks stay long without water and feed after arrival, Give glucose + vitamins in the first drinking water and chick mash immediately.
