Basilica of Saint Nicholas -Bari, Apulia Built between 1087 and 1197, it was restored many times over the centuries. It houses some of the relics of Saint Nicholas.

One of the decorated panels flanking the altarpiece is actually a door, leading to the Convents Chapel, where the brothers would celebrate the liturgy of the hours. During compline it would be opened so the laity could hear.

The Dominican Convent of Vienna was first established in 1225, only 5 years after St. Dominics death. With the Church being built into the city wall, it was soon destroyed during the first Turkish war. Eventually rebuilt, the original design is now all but lost to History.
