Speaking of X-Files, I’ve been working on a TTRPG for the last couple years in the headspace of X-Files, Twin Peaks, etc, shadowsandsixes.com Simple to learn, super fun to play (according to literally everyone who has tried it), and infinitely customizable. The core concept of the game is “what would you do?” Regular people facing insurmountable odds, no superpowers, no classes, no magic, just wits and dice. We’ve played classic, cinematic horror, harsh medieval survival, intense sci-fi thrillers, old west mysteries, and it just works. We’ve been working on a quick start guide and game demo that we’ll be releasing soon. In the meantime, I have a website up and running with some game info, a simple demo, and a sign-up form to get notified when the demo is ready for download. I’d be much obliged to anyone who’d be willing to help spread the signal, thanks y’all’!

@EricCMeadows I used to get nerve block injections for mine at the base of my head in my occipital nerves. It was two shots about the size of a quarter and they last for 4-8 months. They worked really well because it numbs the pain receptors but I had to go in to reup when they wore off.

What are your best migraine remedies? I’ve tried several prescription and over-the-counter meds. Trying to sleep it off seems to be the only thing to help.

@jmillincook @EricCMeadows I second a migraine cap. I keep mine in the fridge or freezer so it’s cold when I need it. Beyond that, it depends on the kind of migraine. If it’s hormone related, sleep is the only thing that helps it go away for me. When it’s triggered by something else, caffeine helps.

@TheUnderTiny Right?! I asked him to make me one too one day and he lit up because my grandma was always telling him how gross it was. 😂 It’s one of my favorite memories. Admittedly, the cheese addition is a little weird, but pb and lettuce works!

@TheUnderTiny My grandpa used to eat peanut butter and lettuce sandwiches, sometimes with cheese.

My father in law eats peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches. I only recently learned about it. I am totally going to have him make me one so I can give a review.

Flavored sparkling water tastes like sadness and death and anyone who says they like it has to actually be lying to us. Tried some again last night at a wedding reception and it was worse than I remember.

@JimRoland15 @MamaCAllen It’s one of the only things we don’t agree about 🤣 I like it, but I’m also pretty particular about the kind. Not all are created equal and some taste bitter and almost oily.
