We had a fantastic special guest author, Declan Carville, visit us recently. He spoke to our pupils about his books, the skills of writing, getting your ideas across, the importance of illustrations and what makes a good story. Many thanks to @amma_centre for facilitating.

Our Primary 2 and Rang 2 classes had a brilliant day recently working with Niall from the Amma Centre on 'In The Jungle' Minecraft Project. We would like to thank Niall and all the staff at the Amma Centre for their wonderful work with our pupils. @amma_centre

BRONWYN DUFFY CHAMPIONS Our girls’ football team were delighted to win the Bronwyn Duffy Cup today in Pearse Og Park Armagh. This is a new large schools 7s competition named in memory of Bronwyn, who was a much loved member of staff in our school. Well done to all our girls.

APPLE BLOSSOM SWIMMING SUCCESS Well done to our school swimming team who competed in the recent Apple Blossom Swimming Gala. Each one of our swimmers came away with at least one medal - a fantastic achievement. To top the day off we won the Apple Blossom Shield. 2/2

Well done to our R7 pupil Páidí who played today in the Cumann na mBunscol game at the Ulster Final in Clones. A day out he’ll never forget.

McGreevy Cup Champions. Well done to our boys' football on winning the McGreevy Cup today in a hard fought victory over Tannaghmore Primary School Lurgan. One point separated the teams at the final whistle with both teams putting on an excellent exhibition of football.

ULSTER CHAMPIONS Comhghairdeas ó chroí leis na páistí R7 a chuaigh go Fal Carraigh agus a bhain an corn ag Féile Peile. Congratulations to the R7 pupils who were crowned Ulster Féile Peile Champions for 2022 in Falcarragh Co. Donegal this afternoon!

The pupils from Miss McKinstry's class were delighted to present a cheque to RDA Longstone. The money was raised from the recent non-uniform day. Many thanks to all the parents who donated.
