I had a nanny and then once I went to half day Montessori preschool/kindergarten she was part time and I suspect the truth about childcare is more or less the same as the truth abt all other aspects of life which is that everything is basically fine if everyone involved is white.

Watching the nannies in NYC made me completely against non family childcare. I was at the park for 1.5-3 hours every day. Tons of nannies. Lazy and uncaring. Reacted with annoyance when kids come running to them crying. With so many crap parents, no wonder nannies aren't better.

However, if over 50% of workers jump down the chute, the compactor will jam and no one who jumped down dies. You can’t see which route your fellow workers have taken due to all the coal smoke, but the stairs and chute are clearly labelled for everyone. Do you take the stairs or the chute?
