In Jerusalem’s Mea Shearim neighborhood, hundreds of ultra-Orthodox gathered around a building displaying a Palestinian flag. Chanting “Burn their villages,” the crowd then took down the Palestinian flag and set it on fire. Immediately after the flag’s removal, violent clashes broke out between members of the ultra-Orthodox yeshiva and local ultra-Orthodox residents. Today on @BBCnews commenting on the @cij_icj ruling. Israel is now officially on trial for #genocide. That means all third parties that have offered material support for this genocide, including the UK and US, are on trial for complicity. Israel is not defending itself. It is defending its 76-year-old ethnic cleaning, colonial occupation and its suppression and denial of Palestinian rights. It is we, the Palestinian people under occupation, that have the right to self-defence.
