If your warm-up is lazy, your session will be lazy. Warm-up is identity.

In recruiting, days matter. If you give your competition 6 weeks of runway, they’ll take it and never give it back.

Quick math: 100 swings. If you produce 60 good reps and your buddy produces 80… he’s improving faster than you. Every day.

“Perfect reps” compound. 20 extra good reps a day doesn’t feel like much… but 3 months later, that’s 1800 extra perfect reps. You, your coaches, and your teammates will all recognize the massive improvement.

The best athletes don’t just grind. They compete with themselves. Having a number or goal to beat adds pressure and turns boring reps into competitive training.

You don't have to be a baseball god to get recruited. You just have to be undeniably athletic. Start there.

If you aren't hitting at least one of these marks, reaching out to D1 schools is largely a waste of time. That's not an opinion — it's experience. The recruiting trail doesn't heat up until the physical tools show up first.

Make training a game. Give every drill an objective you can win or lose. Otherwise, your training will become tedious. Remember that baseball is a game, and you can have fun with practice.

Give yourself a simple, basic standard. If you hit 5 balls off a tee, how many are clean line drives straight to the back of the cage? If it’s not 5… it’s time to refocus. There is no excuse not to execute the basics with perfection.

60 good reps out of 100 feels fine — until you realize your competition is lapping you. Raise your standard.

The fix isn't working harder. It's making every rep count. Set a standard for what a good rep looks like. Track your streak. Compete with yourself. Turn mindless swings into deliberate practice.
