Top 8'd the modern showcase challenge with boros energy! Haven't played much modern lately but it's always a treat to play this deck 😻 Successfully dodged storm but I'd still advocate for 4 chants. Was skeptical of dalkovan encampment so I just played a 13th fetch instead.

Undefeated in the standard challenge with prowess! 🦦🦦 I didn't end up playing any mirrors, but the drake & crab plan has been unexpectedly great vs mono W, so I was happy enough to have them. Also I didn't miss secret identity - it might secretly be bait 🤫

@WhattupMang My postboard plan in many matchups relies pretty heavily on Ral, so I’m personally liking 3 copies. But it seems like the stock number is 2 which is totally valid as well. Not sure if there’s a direct replacement for Ral though.

@AzjaMTG @fireshoes Is the third Ral a deal breaker, or what would you play in SB instead? 😅

@murkedtide I’m still unsure which is better tbh. Hatcher works better with your game 1 plan, but playing crab as a 1-2 of to cantrip/stock up for makes sense to me too. It’s probably close, they both have their merits.

@AzjaMTG @fireshoes You think Hatcher is better in the main, over the crab?

@sunchiyou If they go t1 drum into t2 momo + sage you are behind, otherwise it’s pretty winnable. Drake is a great threat since they can’t often block it efficiently, and crab helps you win the race with tap + set up lethal on your turn. Hold torches for their x/3s, haliya in particular.

@_preordained Yeah on a real note I think it depends how you want to play the grindy removal-heavy matchups. With 3 Rals I find my plan is more focused on getting to his -10 rather than setting up a big slickshot + identity for lethal.

@AzjaMTG @fireshoes Secret Identity is definitely not bait, but it might be less useful in a creature meta where there are a lot of cards turning sideways

Between the demonic triumph of Dimir Excruciator at Pro Tour Lorwyn Eclipsed and the otterly dominant performance of Izzet Prowess at the Regional Championships, it's fair to say we did an amazing job with this Standard format! Doomsday Excruciator & Elusive Otter...what's next?

Top 4'd the standard challenge with izzet prowess, but more importantly I went to the zoo yesterday and saw some real elusive otters 🦦🦦

@oskiyaa I tried one copy for a bit, but didn’t end up liking it. I found it was only good for protecting Slickshot, and even then it was just okay. I agree that it can’t replace Wild Ride, but you could probably play it over a bounce spell or Get Out.

@AzjaMTG @fireshoes Hey! I see you're not playing it. But ,do you like Secret Identity? I'm not sure about that, but pretty sure i don't want it as a replacement for wild ride at least.

@Daigo49074732 Opt and sleight are much better than hangout, even in matchups where you need to be aggressive. So I wouldn’t replace the cantrips, but you could try it over wild ride or get out.

@AzjaMTG @fireshoes Wouldn't it be better to add Heroes Hangout to the list instead of Opt/Sleight of Hand to increase synergies?

@lopezglezdaniel You don’t really want to play more creatures or otter/slickshot will get worse. I think spellementals is a better home for eddymurk crab anyway.
