@Nitesh805181 I have yet to see an led last more than 5-7 years for fittings that cost hundreds. A hps bulb uses more power. But a bulb is like $10, how are they saving money by using leds? Streetlamps are typically unmetered too, If were really struggeling to produce power. Go nuclear?

@Nitesh805181 I'm sorry but I never understood sodium lights. The illumination wasn't useful and the orange was ugly. Give me mercury or LED lights any day.

@Nitesh805181 @RedBSierra Amber leds are actualy more efficient than white leds. That would be a viable compromise. In Western australia highways are still lit with hps because they use more power. It acts as an artificial load for base load power stations

@Nitesh805181 Im an enthusiast on obsolete lighting technology. I honestly get upset when I see hps still around, its so much more welcoming, miss it so much Here's something you may not have seen before this lps 91w philips SOX-e was the most efficient bulb known to mankind from the late 70s

But metalic lead cannot be absorbed through skin. And in finished products. Its really not that bad unless you eat it
