Kilo Ump, & The Miami Boyz. Also known as “The Untouchables.”
Miami, 1990. Inspiration behind the “MK’s” on BMF.
The Miami Boyz, also known as The Untouchables, infiltrated Atlanta’s streets as far back as 1986. The drug market in Atlanta was untapped for organized groups, and tough on crime efforts back in Florida pushed the dealers out, making Atlanta a safe haven to restart. The Miami Boyz came up under the reign of Isaac “Big Ike” Hicks, and James “Boss” Sawyer, two of Miami’s biggest kingpins in the 80’s before receiving nearly 200 years in prison total between the two of them. Big Ike was sentenced to 137 years, and Boss received 56.
The Miami Boyz loved the Atlanta market, they could sell an ounce of Cocaine that was worth $500 in Miami, and sell it anywhere between $1,400-$1,800 a ounce. They took advantage of housing projects because of the large units, which in return started a war with the Atlanta dealers. The decade-long feud between the Miami Boyz and Atlanta’s streets brought violence to the city that hadn’t been seen prior, which predated the arrival of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory. The Miami Boyz came to Atlanta over 40 members deep, one of their main stops was the Techwood Projects, which is featured on the BMF series.
Outside of Atlanta, the Miami Boyz also expanded to Orlando, Tampa, Pensacola Alabama, and Savannah, according to a 1988 article from The Orlando Sentinel. By the late 90’s the Miami Boyz were pushed out of Atlanta, and forced to reestablish themselves in Miami once again. #BMF #BMFStarz
