Congratulations to the Class of 2026! Joining the honoured member ranks are five athletes, three builder-coaches, one team, one pioneer, one media member and the winner of the prestigious W.A.C. Bennett Award. The formal Induction Event for the Class of 2026 will be held this fall after a spring and summer highlighted by the FIFA 2026 World Cup at BC Place, with details to be announced soon! #BCSHOF26

The 2006 Vancouver Whitecaps Women’s Team are the inductees in the Team Category! The 2006 W-League champions had eight players (including a young Christine Sinclair) that went on to win Olympic medals playing for @CANWNT. #BCSHOF26

Congratulations to 2026 BC Sports Hall of Fame inductee Georgia Simmerling! She is the first @TeamCanada athlete ever to compete at three Olympics in three different sports (Team Pursuit Cycling in 2016, Super Giant Slalom Skiing in 2010, Ski Cross in 2014). #BCSHOF26

Congratulations to BC Sports Hall of Fame 2026 inductee Justin Kripps! During his 16 years on the @BobCANSkel national team he is the only Canadian to win Olympic medals in both the two and four-man bobsleigh events. Recently, he was at the 2026 Winter Olympics as a team coach for Canada’s bobsleigh athletes. #BCSHOF26

Congratulations to Les Wilson for being inducted in the Athlete Category! He was the first North American developed player to play in the top division of English professional soccer. He was also one of the founding directors of the Vancouver 86ers. #BCSHOF26

Congratulations to BC Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026 inductee Doug Brown! One of the greatest defensive linemen in @CFL history, he played 11-seasons with @Wpg_BlueBombers. The @SFU alumni also played two @NFL seasons with Washington. #BCSHOF26

Silvana Burtini has been selected as inductee in the Class of 2026 in the athlete category! She spent 17 years on the @CanadaSoccerEN women’s team. The 1998 CONCACAF Women’s Championship MVP represented Canada at 3 World Cups. #BCSHOF26

The 2026 BC Sports Hall of Fame inductee in the Media category is John McKeachie! In addition to hosting @Canucks, @BCLions, @WhitecapsFC broadcasts, he also worked for @CBC, @TheProvince, @CKNW and many more! #BCSHOF26

The winner of the W.A.C. Bennett Award (British Columbians who have made remarkable contributions to the sport community) is John Mills! The former chair of @CanBball helped create @KidSport and served as the COO of @RichmondOval. #BCSHOF26

The 2026 inductee in the Pioneer Category is Dr. Bruce Forster. A global pioneer in the radiology field for his work in sports imaging over a 30+ year career, He developed the first portable field-of-play ultrasound imaging program for the Olympics. #BCSHOF26

Congratulations to Ossie Chavarria on being inducted in the Builder-Coach category! The former @MLB infielder has dedicated over 40 years to baseball as an umpire, coach, and mentor. From the major leagues to the grassroots level, his impact has shaped the game. #BCSHOF26

Congratulations to Barb Harris on being inducted in the Builder-Coach category! She has been a key figure in @FieldHockeyBC for over 40 years as an athlete, tournament coordinator, judge, and organizer. From athlete to organizer, her impact shaped the game. #BCSHOF26

Congratulations to inductee Jim Clive! A pioneer and ambassador for beach volleyball, he is credited for bringing the sport to BC in 1978 and he has worked tirelessly to grow the discipline ever since. From Kits Beach beginnings to a lasting legacy in the sand! #BCSHOF26
