Few insights from FDF’s surge and drop: > Speculation is great hook for early adoption but fails in long-term, particularly for a consumer product > Traditional Fantasy is deeply rooted in group/community cultures - generalising it across the board doesn’t work > Pegging shares to direct price will put loyal players always on disadvantage - traders will extract from players That being said, FDF did a remarkable job with UX and has paved way for more experimentation. But I strongly believe personalised leagues is far better than general fantasy model.

Basecamp was the best place to get a pulse on where @base is headed. Key takeaways:
> Curated events > > big conferences. Way more signal.
> $BASE token incoming. The biggest alignment tool for builders, creators, users and institutions. Also a massive chance to onboard net-new users.
> All Base teams (Devrel, TBA, ecosystem, global expansion) stood in front of builders, creators, and users for honest feedback. People didn’t hold back, and fixes started immediately. Base knows where it sucks and is willing to improve fast.
> Supply side is strong, but consumer app demand is still thin. Jesse’s keynote + upcoming programs are doubling down here.
> Base is focused on asymmetric growth - breaking out beyond a few million users. Content and culture feel like the strongest bets, replicating social media’s playbook.
> Asked @jessepollak about regulation outside the US. His answer hit - most countries fear dollarisation. But framing crypto around local stablecoins (Nigeria, Indonesia) lands better. Expect Base to push hard on this.
> Base app has serious potential to bridge crypto-native apps to the masses. Fun, relatable, and an easy launchpad for indie devs.
