I ran 1,000 random DCA simulations to purchase Bitcoin, starting exactly when Saylor began his Bitcoin reserve strategy. All 1,000 DCA paths are profitable with an average cost base of $52k… while Saylor is currently sitting on a loss. How is this possible? Saylor has a negative convex trading position—something every Wall Street trader avoids. When Strategy’s shares are strong and the premium is wide, the company issues equity to buy Bitcoin—typically when prices are already high. I’m not convinced that issuing a credit instrument (STRC) with such a high hurdle rate meaningfully improves the convexity profile. If anything, STRC introduces a time component—Saylor is now implicitly betting on a relatively fast bull run. That said, if we do get a strong and lasting bull run in the near future, Strategy will likely outperform Bitcoin by a wide margin.

Central banks print money to service debt, which creates more debt, which requires more printing. Bitcoin was built to exist outside that loop entirely.

@AndrysCharlie You're right, I know. Sometimes I just post to read the reactions. Investing is better done with controlled emotions. Life is easier on a Bitcoin standard.

STRC is a terrible product. Bear with me here. The only reason is exists is because the guy selling it knows that he can make more money elsewhere. So, why don't you just buy the same elsewhere thing he is buying? Why does everyone always choose the wrong option?

You don't need to understand every technical detail of Bitcoin to benefit from it. You don't understand TCP/IP either, but you use the internet every day.

@sunny051488 @giskyexplorer @Scavacini777 You don’t “have” to pay interest on a lot of platforms. But if you don’t, your loan balance rises. That makes your LTV rise if price doesn’t go up because the loan balance gets bigger vs collateral value. Simple math. So your liquidation risk rises when prices stagnate.

@BDNcontent @giskyexplorer @Scavacini777 You don’t have to many any payments at all on Coinbase. Only manage your ltv. You can let it compound forever as long as you can avoid liquidation.

Never sell your bitcoin, take loans against it and live forever with no taxation on that loan because it's that and not income

When someone says Bitcoin has no intrinsic value, ask them what gives the dollar its value. Then watch the silence.

@giskyexplorer @Scavacini777 You also have to keep paying interest, and if price is flat or down that’s a problem, as refinancing will increase your LTV, making margin calls closer. If you don’t have extra income to pay the interest you’ll drown in debt just like the lenders want

@Scavacini777 Works until margin calls hit. Liquidation doesn't care about your tax strategy.
