BREAKING: Indigenous activist Leonard Peltier is released from prison after nearly 50 years. For decades, Peltier, who is 80 years old, has maintained his innocence over the 1975 killing of two FBI agents in a shootout on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Last month President Joseph Biden commuted Peltier's life sentence to serve the remainder of his time under house arrest.
