I rewatched Obsession and noticed a small detail that says a lot about Bear. When he looks at the "Sunshine in a Rock" citrine necklace, he decides Nikki wouldn't like it. Then he picks the One Wish Willow because he likes it better. It's such a subtle moment, but it perfectly shows how Bear constantly projects his own wants onto Nikki instead of considering what she actually wants. #Obsession

@Banhammerd That's genuinely one of my favorite parts of kane's interpretation. It make a person's interaction with the space ever so much more personal. The fact the pit Mary climbs over represents the building her home was demolished to build, and sits under a copy of the store is so cool.

Inside me are two wolves; one really enjoys the concept of the backrooms staying the same through history, as it presents an odd "chicken or egg" dilemma. the other really enjoys the idea that the backrooms evolved as human perceptions of fear and society evolved.

When he learns that she's SUFFERING due to the wish, and she literally asks him to KILL her to end her suffering His response is "what's so bad about being with me?" That should immediatly tell you how much of an asshole he is

Seeing people talk about Obsession is hard because half of what I see is proving that media literacy is deader than a doornail, the whole fucking movie basically spoonfeeds you the point (the point being that Bear is a literal rapist)
