Nicki minaj needs to step away from being obsessed with Megan, her concert in Dublin last night was a complete disaster, people are calling it the worst concert ever, 2 hours late, played for 40 minutes, and lip synced most of the songs.

Ann Bowron - there is no change in ammonia increase over time for samples on ice vs those at room temperature. Samples with an initial higher ammonia level showed LESS change over time. No benefit to transportation of ammonia samples on ice! #BIMDG24 @BowronAnn

Edmund has chest pain. The doctor orders troponin, a cardiac test for detecting heart attacks, and it’s positive. Diagnosis: heart attack. In reality, Edmund had a pulmonary embolism. Doctors will never discover this error. Follow the thread to understand the “troponin trap”.

When we published our study <evidence.nejm.org/doi/10.1056/EV…> of ODS and hyponatremia we were pummeled for including people at low risk of ODS because we included Na levels between 120 and 130. They said it is well known "that ODS is incredibly rare/non-existent at those levels." 1/4

@bduric_ Doctors don’t wear them in Ireland. It’s outdated, unhygienic too. Should be bare below the elbow!

1/8 SERUM FERRITIN Ferritin serves to store/sequester iron inside cells. Small amounts of ferritin are found in the serum and their levels are used clinically in the ddx of anemia and as an indicator of iron overload or inflammation.

🔄 Monitoring hCG dynamics, coupled with transvaginal ultrasound, aids in the early detection and differentiation of ectopic pregnancies. ⚠️ Untreated ectopic pregnancies pose risks like tubal rupture, necessitating timely medical intervention, often through laparoscopic surgery.

📈 In a normal pregnancy, hCG levels rise exponentially, reaching a peak around the 10th week, and plateau thereafter. ⚖️ Ectopic pregnancies exhibit aberrant hCG patterns; levels may rise slower or plateau, deviating from the typical trajectory
