@edgehill Students were able to carry out these practical experiments, gaining valuable insight into how scientists amplify and analyse DNA. It was an inspiring and enriching experience that brought cutting-edge science into the classroom and sparked curiosity about future careers.

Last week Y12 biologists had the fantastic opportunity to take part in a hands-on biology workshop led by Dr Priyanka More from @EdgeHill. The session focused on two essential techniques in modern molecular biology: PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and gel electrophoresis.

And that’s the end of this summer’s exam season. Well done to all Sixth Form students for your approach to your exams. You can do no more- we can’t wait to celebrate your achievements in August!
