I believe its entirely fair to base taxes on the purchase, not the "potential", and reasoning that municipal costs has spiraled out of control to scam people out of their property, with this "if you cannot afford it, then fuck you" attitude is extremely inhumane and not serving the citizens. I believe it is entirely fair to pay for these services based on the property we own These service are directly related to what we own where It’s not on me to come up with another way of doing it when I think the current system is reasonable. How that system is used in individual localities I won’t defend. But the general concept of the cost being related to ownership makes total sense
