Turned into the perfect loan for his development. Seen incredibly dark times there start of the year, put his head down and worked through it. Now reaping the rewards and challenging for the league.
Class for Mikey 👌
Chris Rigg & The whole of Sunderland after 10 minutes…
Swipe right for 90 minutes 😉
Winning at St James’ Park… special.
Knowing what it means to this city ❤️🤍
That makes it even bigger 🥹
But if I’m honest… I had to do it the hard way.
10 minutes in… mistake.
And in that moment, you feel like the ground could swallow you up.
Like you’ve let down a whole city.
That feeling is real.
And it’s horrendous.
But this is where the work kicks in.
For years I’ve worked on my mindset for moments like this and it’s something I now try to pass on to the young players we mentor through Inner Game Academy.
Breathe.
Self talk.
Next action.
Not “why did I do that?”
Not “what are people thinking?”
Just… next action.
It all sounds simple in theory.
Putting it into practice in moments like that is the hard part.
Every player makes mistakes.
The best players don’t dwell.
They respond.
I’m so proud of this team.
They had my back when I needed it most.
And after the error, they kept demanding from me and from each other relentlessly.
To win it in the 90th minute at St James’…
That’s one I will never forget ❤️🤍
P.s. Why are there loads of empty seats in the background?
@EvertonPhotos Ndiaye and James imo and especially with the positions we have been in recently them 2 brought excitement that we haven’t seen for years, but the likes of Pienaar, Lukaku and even Barkley in spells aren’t far behind
For anyone in my generation , I’m late 20’s.
Is Ndiaye the best player you’ve seen at us? For me he’s the most talented player I’ve ever watched live for Everton.
So lucky to have him
@redgieballs@TOFFEEBLUECAST Think I’d be ok with Dibling going elsewhere and doing well although I think he just needs a big boost of confidence and good pre season under his best this summer and he will be flying
Personally I feel sorry for Adam Aznou he wouldn't have agreed to the move to Everton if he knew he'd be played as little as he has.
It's not even just about the LB keeping him out because he's often not been on the bench.
Last game he played really well then not played since.
Moyes has named the exact same XI, completely ignoring the opponent or the need for internal competition, which is fundamental. We’ll see at full-time, but once again, there’s so much to criticize with him...
Just to add a bit of balance, we may be struggling at HD form wise but the new stadium is the best thing to happen to Everton for long time. It will form a big part of the clubs recovery in the coming years, Goodison’s wooden seats are best where they are, in a box on the wall!
@Stylo_____ One thing that keeps frying my head as well is the amount of people that don’t understand how to find their row/seat. How fucking hard is it to read numbers ffs, about 10 last night in and out of my row cos it’s the wrong one
@Everton Just realised we’ve still got United, City, Chelsea and the Redshite to play at home and laughed out loud. Stick a fucking wicket in the middle of the pitch and make a boundary
@Benjwinst Barry was horrendous Beto was even worse.
Gana needs to hang them boots up.
Armstrong isn’t a left winger.
Mykolenko 🤣🤣🤣
Has Rohl vanished?
New ground is full of absolute mings.
Individual errors and self implosion. This home form is genuinely awful and a real issue, even when winning we never looked in control. Whenever Everton have a genuine chance of kicking on and looking up we do that. Frustrating…..
Moyes has got us from 16th and a relegation battle to 8th and chasing Europe in a single year and there are STILL idiots on here begging for him to be sacked 🤣
Absolutely unbelievable.
Whatever David Moyes says to them players at half time away from home every week I want more of that. What a second half performance from the boys in blue and a massive 3 points UTFT 🔵
@Hanstours Physical season tickets to be reintroduced and the new ticketing system to be changed.
A lot of people moan about the atmosphere and empty seats which is valid but at least then they can pass tickets down to friends and family members instead of leaving it empty.
Interested to see if Moyes tries the 3 at the back again. If so, I have a vision:
Barry.
Ndiaye. Dewsbury-Hall.
Aznou . Garner. Röhl. Patterson.
Branthwaite. Tarks. O’Brien.
Pickford.
#EFC
@KUEFC So fickle some of our lot. Seem to forget the atmosphere at goodison for last few years was shite unless we played the redshite or united and all these people saying “get me back to goodison” sound let’s just build a 500mill stadium and fuck it off 👍
Honestly if all your going to do is moan about the stadium, don’t go, don’t renew and let some who have been on the waiting list for years the chance to get a season ticket, simple really.
@elpivoteftbl Going to a 3 at the back and not taking myko off for aznou was absolutely criminal, screaming out for pace and balls into the back which myko has neither
@Benjwinst That tonight was hands down thee worst performance from Myko and he’s got a catalogue of them, fucking dross who looks like he’s kicking a balloon in his front room
Much better second half but overall not good enough. These home performances have been horrible for a while now and another big chance to kick on up the table well and truly missed in typical Everton fashion.
@BlueStatic1878@LeeFMc83 To be fair, we’ve taken several managers off the back of one good season. Martinez, Silva, Koeman mainly. I am sure Glasner is great, he has two trophies but how much an upgrade is he actually on Moyes? We need a proven winner with a fresh, forward thinking approach
Mateta - ageing, no sell on value, not worth even close to £40m, wants £140k a week, misses chances galore…..why on earth are we even debating this as a possibility.
Giant swerve please Everton.
@nebula1979@LeeFMc83 Not saying he’s not. Just think the shouts are ridiculous as soon as we hit a bit of bad form. We’ve had far more ups than downs this season and if we manage to get a European spot then nobody else id rather have than Moyes right now
@BlueStatic1878@LeeFMc83 Good manager. Won trophies at different clubs in different leagues. Experienced but relatively young. Massively stitched up by a Palace ownership devoid of ambition. In the last 18 months they've sold Olise, Eze and Guehi from under him.
