I really don’t think we needed to sign Cole Strange until after the draft. Kolar I get. Pretty rough outcome only getting 1 comp pick

@JWat23 Yea I’m convinced there are still just as good of guards and strange still out on the market now which is why I was confused why we got him so fast to lose that pick

@BoltLounge lol which is why I’m not pissed about strange canceling out Zion’s pick. Even if it’s a halfass option like him we have to be able to pencil in a starter at guard before the draft or we’ll keep getting jumped by teams who need guard and none will fall to us where it’s not a reach

@BoltLounge I get that and I’m all for being mindful of comp picks before making decisions. Especially in oweh’s case where it’s a 3rd. But if we’re gonna build this roster solely based on comp picks Herbert is gonna be 32 and permanently damaged by the time the roster is ready

@BoltLounge If there was a market for him and McDaniel wanted him I’d rather have the player than the pick. But the overall lack of interest in building this line after the hell Herbert has been through is very much concerning

@LightzOut83 This is actually my worry. Let’s just say McDaniels gets this o line right with what we have, okay perfect. But a first time DC in the NFL not getting much love is scary. Who knows maybe he is Jesse 2.0 if we lucky

If the Chargers didn't prioritize the IOL, they should've stacked the defense with a brand new, rookie DC taking the reigns.
