Self Defense
3 nights ago, my beloved daughter was staying alone at a friend's house. The friend lives in a very safe area, but at about 3:30 AM she said God woke her (she is strong in her faith). She thought she heard a faint noise like branches against a window.
She went to investigate throughout the house and when she looked out the front door through a window she saw a man trying to break in.
She did as she knows to do (she has been through 3 of my classes) she went to the master bedroom, locked the door, then went to the master bathroom and locked the door armed with a knife and a hammer and called 911.
So very scary.
The man was apparently a drug addict, 36 years old. Unsure why a drug crazed man wanted to gain entry into this particular home, but it was pretty frightening.
Just so relieved she is OK and that the drug crazed criminal (on camera) was unable to get in and potentially get to her.
Hoping he will be arrested soon.
There was extensive video footage which has been submitted to the police.
Please be safe True Crimers.

“Leaving the village today so here’s a room tour I filmed when I first settled in a few weeks ago!”

@qwiskeit I saw I was on camera and tried to smile but was uncomfortable bc I knew that the people next to me were upset..... What was I supposed to do?
One thing I do not think I will ever get over, and people can disagree with me all they want, is why Nancy Guthrie was living alone in such a large house without a top-tier security system.
My parents have ADT with sensors on every doorway. If there is any type of forced entry, especially during the night, it immediately alerts the company. If they do not answer, the police are dispatched right away.
I understand that systems like Ring and Nest are more popular now, but someone her age should have had something more comprehensive and fully equipped in place.
It is definitely weird that Nancy Guthrie is marked as deceased on this family tree website. 🧐 Was this done automatically or does someone have to manually change everything?! 👀
DNA from the gloves found did not come back with a match in CODIS.
No DNA submitted to CODIS involving the Nancy Guthrie investigation has come back with a match, according to the sheriff.
As crazy as it is. Neighbors of Nancy Guthrie told me they hope it is someone from or close to family that did this & not a random burglar.
Thought of a random burglar doing it sends chills down their spine.
They are noticing crime creeping up to their area from Tucson.
BREAKING: FBI experts believe TWO suspects were involved in the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping! 🚨 New footage shows the masked man gesturing to someone off-camera. 👥 It takes two to carry an 84-year-old. The net is closing in on the Tucson cell. 🕵️♂️🙏 #NancyGuthrie#FindingNancy#BreakingNews#FBI
@wurzel260654@mikerreports If he knew about the cams, then why not be prepared with tape or spray paint? He clumsily grabbed some brush to cover the camera.
@mikerreports Could be any Walmart. All popular and cheap items.
Perp knew what they were doing.
Ransom 3 days later when perp found out who she was.
Likely a burgalry gone wrong.
She clearly knew his voice so he rook her with him.
Wasn't an organised kidnap but whoever it was knew about cams.
Good morning,
A few hours ago marked two weeks since Nancy Guthrie’s abduction from her Tucson home.
Investigators have detained — and later released — multiple people in the case without naming a suspect or putting anyone behind bars.
We’re told that investigators are still waiting for DNA and other lab testing results.
Guthrie is the 84-year-old mother of “TODAY” host Savannah Guthrie.
Last week the FBI announced a major development, the recovery of Nest doorbell video showing a masked man on Guthrie’s doorstep. He is described as 5’9” to 5’10” tall and of average build. He was carrying an Ozark Trail backpack.
Another physical detail is the holster worn in the front, which may be a $10 item from Walmart.
Investigators may be able to cross-reference purchase records to narrow down their pool of persons of interest.
The family has asked that anyone with information come forward.
1-800-CALL-FBI.
Two days ago, a resident in close proximity to Nancy Guthrie’s home reports a man looking into their apartment at 12:00 a.m. and into a neighbor’s at 1:18 a.m.
They say it’s frightening because of recent break-ins in the area, they have three young children at home, while warning others to be cautious.
Another neighbor comments in the thread on the Neighbor app saying the behavior is very similar to the Guthrie case video, except the person isn’t fully covered by masks and gloves, noting how he immediately looks for a key and pointing out the reflectors on his backpack.
The man in the video has been arrested.
