I can't stop thinking about a book I read in either 1995-1996 and have searched several times over the years in hopes of finding the book as I can't remember title or author but no one seems to know it. It was in the public library, how come it's seemingly so rare??

What are some of the best books to read a 2 year old? We are ploughing through everything we have at lightening speed. Favourites right now are The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who, Doctor Seuss ABCs, and It's Not Easy Being a Bunny.

I hate how pervasive this attitude has become. “Why teach languages in schools? Why bother teaching fiction / myth / poetry?” Because school is about exposure to new things; because education without the humanities is worthless; because if the schools don’t teach them, who will?

Absolutely!!! Why are we STILL requiring students to take foreign language in high school when there is virtually no benefit. Do high schoolers become fluent in the foreign language? No. Does it have a high ROI on cognitive development and brain health? Also no. Students’ brains would benefit more from 60 minutes of aerobic exercise than from sitting in a foreign language class. Also, we all have translators in our pockets. This is one of the many requirements in education whose time has expired. Public ed must stop wasting students’ time.

I got a super cute dress that makes me feel like Belle a few weeks ago, but I need an actual event to wear it to because it's dry clean only. So here's hoping I'm able to wear it for something before late fall... I don't really get invited to things though. 😅

@Chunnyeol I got whiplash from falling in a tub, my neck was helped a lot with PT and it's better but I still have occasional issues with my neck. I'm about 9 years out. My wrists have never been the same (they took all of my weight when I fell.

For the new people, 4 years ago I got a biiig whiplash, the rehabilitation was very hard, I couldn't even get out of the bed without puking, I'm still working on fixing my neck with my physio from time to time and with mental therapy too but still..🫠

My kid has taken to checking if I'm okay because my fatigue and that time of month have been kicking my butt. It's cute but I feel bad she feels she needs to ask. I was also crowned queen of cookies though after I reassured her, what an honor. 🥰
