We just stopped at a roadside restaurant for a quick break — coffee, fresh sandwiches and a little stretch. While we’re sitting here, Oma drops the news with a big smile: “I’ve already found and booked our home for the next 3 days… Hotel Le Premier! A beautiful boutique hotel with a Penthouse Presidential Suite that has its own big terrace and a fantastic view of the cathedral. It looks amazing!” Ape is super excited, Brainrot immediately started looking up pictures, and Laika is hoping for some leftover sausage 😂 We’re all really looking forward to arriving! Yo Brainrot Nomads 🫶🌇 Roadtrip Arc – #317: One Last Magical Evening on the Balcony 🥩✨ After a lot of gentle pushing we finally managed to get Oma out of the museum (she honestly would’ve stayed there until closing time 😂). Because it’s our last evening in this beautiful hotel, Ape arranged everything with roomservice: a big BBQ setup waiting for us on the private balcony. The view over Ljubljana with the castle lit up in the distance is just perfect. Laika is in absolute heaven — she thinks this is the best part of the whole day (especially the sausages). Oma is sitting back, enjoying a glass of local wine, and we’re all reflecting on how incredible our time in Ljubljana has been. Oma got a bit emotional and said: “Thank you so much Brainrot Nomads… you made this stop unforgettable. Every idea, every suggestion, every like and comment — it all brought us here.” Brainrot added with a big grin: “But now it’s your turn again, Nomads! Tomorrow we leave Ljubljana. 📮 Postcard from Oma – Ljubljana City Museum (Final Part 2) 🏛️❤️ Nomads, even after all these rooms I’m still finding new treasures! This museum really covers everything. We saw beautiful traditional Slovenian folk costumes with incredible embroidery, old photographs that show daily life in the last century, detailed models of Ljubljana’s castles and fortifications, and the most wonderful collection of ancient books and handwritten documents. Top left: Gorgeous traditional Slovenian clothing and folk art. Top right: Old photos and objects from the 20th century. Bottom left: History of Ljubljana’s castles and defenses with beautiful models. Bottom right: Rare old books, manuscripts and historical seals. I’m so happy we took the time for this. We saw glittering Roman coins and jewelry, beautiful antique furniture that once stood in old Slovenian homes, medieval weapons and armor that tell stories of knights and battles, and the most incredible old maps and handwritten documents. Top left: Ancient Roman coins, jewelry and delicate glass objects. Top right: Gorgeous Habsburg-era furniture and clothing. Bottom left: Medieval weapons and knight armor – even Ape was impressed! Bottom right: Detailed historical maps and illuminated manuscripts that show how Ljubljana evolved. This museum really brought the entire history of the city to life. What a perfect morning. We saw real Roman artifacts from the time when Ljubljana was called Emona, stunning Baroque paintings, old furniture that shows how people lived hundreds of years ago, and detailed maps that tell the story of the city’s growth. Top left: Fascinating Roman archaeological treasures in the display cases. Top right: The impressive art collection with large historical paintings. Bottom left: One of the beautiful long corridors filled with old maps and documents. Bottom right: More Baroque art and historic objects that made me stop and stare. 📮 Postcard from Oma – Ljubljana City Museum 🏛️❤️ Nomads, I am completely in my element here! This museum is an absolute treasure. The beautiful historic building itself already feels special, but the collection inside is what makes it magical. You walk through centuries of Ljubljana’s story: from Roman times, through the Middle Ages, the Habsburg period, all the way to modern Slovenia. The halls are filled with ancient artifacts, stunning old paintings, detailed maps, sculptures and everyday objects that show how people lived here long ago. Top left: The impressive main exhibition hall with its high ceilings and beautiful light. Top right: Some of the gorgeous classical art and sculptures that gave me goosebumps. Bottom left: Our happy squad selfie — I can’t stop smiling! Bottom right: More historic treasures and the wonderful atmosphere of the museum. This is pure culture and history, exactly how I love it. Yo Brainrot Nomads 🫶🌇 Roadtrip Arc – #313: Oma’s Happy Place – Ljubljana City Museum 🏛️✨ After enjoying the beautiful Glavni trg we followed @nikxbt’s suggestion and went straight into the Ljubljana City Museum. And let me tell you… **Oma is in heaven right now** 😍 She’s been looking forward to this all morning. She loves history, old artifacts, paintings and learning how cities like Ljubljana grew over the centuries. She’s walking around with the biggest smile, reading every single sign and telling us little stories about what we’re seeing. Ape is surprisingly interested in the old weapons and armor, Brainrot is taking photos of everything, and Laika is being a very good museum dog (for now). --- **Special announcement from Oma:** “Nomads, I’m going to make a few special museum postcards for you all today! I’ll pick the most beautiful and interesting things we see and send them your way. So stay tuned!” --- We’re having such a nice calm and cultural morning.
