The air is thick, the smoke is on the ground level of residential neighborhoods in East LA. People are getting sick from the Boyle Heights fire as the toxic smoke gets insides homes and lingers in the air.
Still no evacuation orders.

Wanted to circle back to say if this happened in west LA it would be nationwide news. But such warehouses arenโt located in those communities. No itโs always the working poor that suffer from these disasters and itโs far more common than anyone realizes bc nobody is covering it.

Thereโs a devastating fire that is upending Boyle Heights in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. The company that owns the warehouse is Lineage Logistics. Multiple violations over years. Fire two years ago on same roof. This in area where respiratory illness already is a problem.
