Pretty much.
It's exact same thing that happens in every other country where this is a thing.
When you lose your job, you have to leave the country.
Which gives power over your social connections, your home, your children's futures everything, down to your continued employment.
If you lose your job, you have 60 days to find a job or you have to leave.
This isn't just an america thing either, this is a reality of work visas all over the world.
English

@Arvigiri3 @BunBoxMomo @timedeposit @GundamNoContext Sorry but your point is pretty invalid when the wage slaves have 2 options. Suck it up and work or get deported. America is known for exploiting workers, look at the state of Amazon and the ban on unions. Migrant workers will not get shit unless they have their asshole presented.
English

Additional note:
Very often co-occurs alongside Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) which is a condition that comes with a range of things, including Autism and ADHD especially.
RSD causes people to be more likely to interpret vague or neutral statements as being negative and to also experience physical pain in response to that.
English

Extremely common in neurodivergence where people are terrified of being misunderstood, because when they feel they don't get their point across in the way they mean to, they get misunderstood and cause arguments, hurt feelings or negative responses.
A learned response from this is to pre-emptively apologise in the same way someone who's been physically hit often my brace against an imagined incoming blow in future interactions.
English

@kalico_kal Ok bro, not the point of what I was saying in the first place but pop off lol.

English

I know you did for someone inconceivable reason picking up a pencil is the hardest thing any a.i dumbass can do
BunBox@BunBoxMomo
@kalico_kal @AgainCarabastin @realOldBilly @smooch_lil Honestly I just stopped careing about anything you had to say past that first sentence. But you do you.
English

@kalico_kal @AgainCarabastin @realOldBilly @smooch_lil Honestly I just stopped careing about anything you had to say past that first sentence.
But you do you.
English

@BunBoxMomo @AgainCarabastin @realOldBilly @smooch_lil No pick up a brush this is the BARE MINIMUM. The red canvas is essentially I don’t like it but yes it’s still art you made. your justifying saying fuck it the computer said it’s good enough and I used stolen images of all the other artist in the gallery to train it
English

@SwitchUsrPrime @Pirat_Nation I mean it's a tiny small thing but sure I can throw it up on a github or something rq
English

@Le_Toine_ @AgainCarabastin @realOldBilly @smooch_lil But when we are talking about if there is a distinction to be made on the basis of "Is it art or not", that's where we disagree.
I do however believe that human made art brings it's own value to the table in such a way that AI art does not, with traits that are unique to it.
English

@Le_Toine_ @AgainCarabastin @realOldBilly @smooch_lil If you're under the impression there is not technique used in modern day AI Art tools, then you really need to catch up on things.
Where I suspect we find common ground, is that human artists should have protections against the inclusion of their work in datasets in training.
English

@AgainCarabastin @realOldBilly @smooch_lil So...like AI art.
I get what you're saying, but do you not see how the exact same thing could be applied to AI art if that's the only thing you're hingeing on here?
The point is that subversion of norms, is not in of itself inherently distinctive.
English

@realOldBilly @smooch_lil No, the red painting actively showed how people were aggressive against what their idea of art was, that why it's titled the way it is, it's transgressive and goes beyond the realm of painting to basically become a performance.
English

@timedeposit @GundamNoContext No it's called normalising wanting slaves.
Yeah your bottom line will go up, still makes you a modern day slaveowner.
Be better.
English

Thats called competing and priorities. If I own a business, of course I would hire the guy that's more likely to come in on the weekend than the guy that clocks in and out at an exact time and will drop everything to keep to that regardless of how it would effect the business or if I finished what I was working on. You can take it too far, and big corps will abuse the heck out of it, still doesn't change the fact that the modern "work life balance call in sick because my dog is not feeling well" is freakin retarded
English

@bimboden @lyssasphere It's literally in the page I linked you to, just check the citations lmao.
English
@BunBoxMomo @lyssasphere Just bc something is generally accepted doesn't necessarily make it true. If you have solid historical evidence of his existence, please share. Until I'm given something that passes muster, I'll remain a skeptic.
English

We do need to make this easier to find

English

@MrRatboyjr @phandlethebants She runs on a generative LLM my man.
You're okay with that or you're not, there's no inbetween on this.
But that's exactly my point.
There's a difference between being Anti AI and looking for the ethical use of AI.
The pure Anti-AI folk are hyerbolic and unreasonable.
English

@BunBoxMomo @phandlethebants Neuro sama is in my opinion a very unique case who avoids a lot of the things that make AI bad. I think a proper dissection of the ethics behind her would come out fairly positive. Or that's just cope. Hopefully the former tho
English

@pendaoffa @charliekirk11 I mean that's an entirely different question.
ERDF was a thing, and it got continued up for the remainder of it's contract after Brexit. That's all there is to it.
GIF
English

@BunBoxMomo @charliekirk11 lol ok.
We were net contributors whist in the e.u. Now we’ve left their lavishing us with no strings attached funds to ensure our economic well being. What’s the point of being In the EU?
English

Here you can see something from the hard brexit page on this from the UK gov website talking about it.
TLDR Contracts continued.
This would be the same under any kind of brexit, and it was.
This an old thing, and that was an old funding, and that is an old notice you photographed.
gov.uk/guidance/europ…
English

Yeah and we weren't a member of the EU, but there were contracted existing payments and funding that continued, for a time as part of there existing contracts.
This was also part of Brexit, contracts continued until they ended. ERDF funding was one of them.
You are seeing something that was funded by that as part of the re-opening of the communities after lockdowns from the covid pandemic.
Don't be so paranoid about this lol.
English

@pendaoffa @charliekirk11 Not really.
They invest in neighbouring countries as well because the economic stability of adjacent countries safegards themselves from knock on economic instability.
The problem that people had in Brexit with the EU was EU laws applying in the UK.
This isn't part of that.
English

@BunBoxMomo @charliekirk11 But why are the European Union 🇪🇺 giving funds to non members ? Very fishy imo.
English

@pendaoffa @charliekirk11 "The Welcome Back Fund is providing councils across England a share of £56 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to support the safe return to high streets and help build back better from the pandemic."
Because the funding source was the ERDF.
English

@BunBoxMomo @charliekirk11 What’s going on with “European Union” and the big E.U flag doing on the poster ?
English
