Two males were arrested and a handgun was recovered in a tagging/vandalism incident in Burien today. We believe these two are responsible for thousands of dollars of damage in the area recently.

You may notice an increased police presence at S. 148 St. And 1 Ave. S. today. We are working an emphasis patrol in the area based on your feedback and concerns.

The eastbound lane of S. 128th St. is currently closed between 4th and 6th Ave. S. for an injury collision involving a shoplift suspect that fled from a nearby business. Two people in the fleeing vehicle were seriously injured and transported to HMC. please avoid the area.

Des Moines Memorial Dr. S. is currently closed between S. 118th St. and S. 120th St. for an injury accident investigation. 2 vehicles, both drivers transported to hospitals, one to Harborview with a serious head injury.

We are deeply saddened by the death of the @KCSheriffOffice deputy. Our hearts are with the family, friends and colleagues as well as the injured officer.

Cold weather shelter is open in #Burien

Officers are investigating a single vehicle accident in the 800 block is S. 112th St. The driver (only occupant) has life threatening injuries. S. 112 St. will be closed for several hours.

ROADS UPDATE: City crews have started working on some residential streets, but it's getting colder so things are freezing up quickly. Crews will have to go back to arterials again as they refreeze.

Our units are currently at S. 128 St. at SR 509 for a collision involving a truck and a Metro bus. So far, injuries appear minor and aid is treating on scene. A power box was damaged and power is out in the immediate area. Please use alternate routes if possible.
