TWO IN CUSTODY AFTER CARJACKED VEHICLE PURSUIT ENDS IN SUITLAND; GUN RECOVERED SUITLAND, MD — Prince George’s County Police are on scene following a pursuit involving a carjacked vehicle out of Washington, D.C. that ended in Suitland. The incident occurred in the area of Suitland Pkwy & Silver Hill Rd, where officers tracked the vehicle into Prince George’s County. According to initial information, the suspects bailed out of the vehicle and fled on foot across Suitland Parkway. Officers pursued and apprehended both individuals near the Susaville Laundromat.

HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION IN SOUTHEAST D.C. Metropolitan Police Department units are investigating a homicide that occurred in the early morning hours in Southeast D.C. At approximately 5:00 a.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Valley Avenue SE for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, units located an adult victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. The suspect is described as an adult male, last seen wearing a gray shirt and red pants. The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

MAN ARRESTED AFTER STABBING AND ASSAULT DURING ALTERCATION NEAR THROW SOCIAL WASHINGTON, D.C. — A suspect is in custody following a stabbing and assault incident in Northeast D.C. that occurred early Sunday morning. The incident took place on April 12, 2026, at approximately 1:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Okie Street NE, where MPD officers observed a verbal altercation between the suspect and victim. According to investigators, the situation escalated when the suspect produced a knife and stabbed one victim, before also assaulting a second individual during the same incident. Officers quickly intervened and placed the suspect under arrest at the scene. The suspect has been identified as 37-year-old Tyrone Williams of Suitland, Maryland, and is facing charges of: •Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) •Simple Assault Two victims were involved in the incident — one who suffered stab wounds, and another who was physically assaulted. The conditions of both victims have not been released. The investigation remains ongoing.

TRIPLE SHOOTING IN SOUTHEAST D.C. LEAVES ONE DEAD, ONE UNCONSCIOUS BUT BREATHING AND ONE CRITICAL;HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY WASHINGTON, D.C. — MPD is investigating a triple shooting in Southeast D.C. that has left one person dead and two others injured. The incident occurred on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at approximately 6:38 p.m. in the 3500 block of 22nd Street SE. According to authorities, Seventh District officers responded to reports of gunfire and located three adult males suffering from gunshot wound injuries. •One victim was pronounced dead on the scene by DC Fire and EMS •One victim was found unconscious but breathing •One victim was conscious and breathing Both surviving victims were transported for medical treatment.
