It’s simple, no one needs “permission” to play in Prague - or anywhere for that matter. An association cannot tell anyone what they can or can’t do in their spare time. Including participating in lacrosse. Anyone registered with an Association is not ‘under contract’. Associations are amateur organizations, for recreational purposes, and do not ‘own’ the ‘exclusive use’ of their registered members.

Anyone else get “denied approval” from the OLA to go play in Prague next month or is it just the kids from Six? Apparently some kids here were told they would not be approved “for many reasons” but were not given any reasons 🤦‍♂️

The final couple of minutes of the Georgia Swarm vs. Halifax Thunderbirds game was the cherry on top to one of the most bonkers National Lacrosse League games you will ever see. The Georgia Swarm were up 14-4 with 7:21 to go in the 3rd quarter. They were up 16-9 with 6:32 to go in the 4th quarter. The last 1:30 of gametime was INSANE. WOW.

Upon video review, the poll shows that custom dyed heads and colour mesh were in the crease, and have a purpose, but all white heads and mesh will be used for regular season and playoff games.

Orange County rec lacrosse is running on fumes, we have multiple ‘national’ level and/or PE backed clubs holding tryouts for kids as young as 3rd grade, and OC lacrosse families are spending more money than ever on ‘elite’ youth club lacrosse over the last several years. NCAA DI men’s lacrosse commitments from Orange County by class: 2022: 20 2023: 11 2024: 9 2025: 6 2026: 2 2027: 5 🤔

Some folks are very surprised at these numbers. Dropping participation is a major symptom of too much focus on the wrong type of programming. OC is still producing some good players at the top of the food chain but the overall quality of play has plummeted in the last several years. There is a very real possibility that CIF status will be revoked in 2027. Big clubs continually exploiting low participation areas has consequences.

@laxtillymen @AdamLeviLAX Right! There has been way smaller crowds (visually). There's an argument to be made to post both "Turnstile" and "Distributed" numbers. It would help teams identify both strengths and weakness in sales/advertising around fan indifference.
