CVCC Career Specialist Ms. Cluse, alongside instructors Ms. Munro (Digital Design) and Mr. Ruebensaal (Print Production), helped bring a “Professional-to-Student” experience to life today! Digital Design students visited Bissell Elementary, where they read their very own written and illustrated books to 2nd and 3rd graders. This project was a true team effort—students wrote and illustrated their books using Adobe software, then partnered with Print Production to bring them to life through professional-quality printing, creating a real-world experience from start to finish. 📚 Shoutout to our talented student-authors! Congratulations to Programming & Software Development students Evan Schaus (@twinsburgcsd), Jackson Philips (@twinsburgcsd), and Denny Rushing (@NordoniaSchools) for qualifying for the BPA National Leadership Conference in Nashville, TN, May 6–10, as Top 10 finalists in the V03 Software Engineering Team event with their video game project! 🎮💻 This accomplishment represents hundreds of hours of work, creativity, and technical skill. Unlike many competitions, this contest does not include regional or state rounds. Instead, teams first submit their projects for a technical review. The top 20 teams advance to a virtual presentation round, and from there, only the top 10 teams earn an invitation to compete at nationals. Even more impressive — these seniors have already qualified for nationals in other contests this year, making this achievement especially exciting. Our Dental Assisting students have been hard at work spreading the magic of dental health to students! As part of their HOSA Community Awareness competition, they led an oral health awareness campaign that reached 115 second-grade students across five classrooms. Through engaging, hands-on presentations, they taught proper brushing techniques, the importance of daily oral hygiene, and how nutrition plays a key role in building strong, healthy teeth. By pairing education with interaction, our students have been helping to encourage lifelong healthy habits within our local school community.
