Computer Vision for Fashion, Art and Design

Excited to share the beginning of a new chapter! Today, I’m thrilled to start my journey as a Senior Research Scientist at @Meta in New York, where I will be working on the Llama team within the GenAI organization. My focus will be on advancing the representation capabilities of vision and language models, ensuring they are high-performing, safe, interpretable, and well-aligned with human needs. Generative AI is evolving rapidly, opening new frontiers in how we understand and interact with intelligent systems. I look forward to collaborating with brilliant minds at Meta to push the boundaries of AI research, and contribute to building the future of responsible AI development. Most of my academic friends know me for my work in generative AI, image and video diffusion models, vision and language, even fairness. But I don’t often talk about my passion for AI applications in fashion — which shaped my PhD thesis, and a good portion of my industry career.

Topics of interest include garment modeling, content generation for style and design, product recommendation, cross-domain visual search and retrieval for fashion, virtual try-on and fit estimation, body shape prediction, trend analysis and forecasting, video generation and more!

This Sunday, at the #CVFAD workshop at @CVPR in Vancouver, I’ll publicly present for the first time something I’ve been working on for the past few years: “A Perceptual Theory of Perspective for Art and Photography.” I’m looking forward to getting reactions and feedback.

We will introduce our SHIFT15M dataset for set-to-set matching at CVPR2023(@CVPR ) workshop on CVFAD!
