🚨 ALERT: New Yorkers are facing increasing threats to their homes, livelihoods, and communities. The Rapid Response Fund allows CVH to move quickly, providing resources, organizing support, and protection for communities under pressure. Donate: cvhaction.org/rapid-response

In October 2027, the financial burden shifts to states. Now NY will have to pay the federal government back for ANY error (wrong amount given, paperwork mistake, anything) AND fund part of SNAP. If NY wants to avoid penalties, it'll have to make SNAP nearly impossible to access.

In January 2026, work requirements will tighten eligibility. In July 2026, states will start enforcing through paperwork barriers. Then January 2027 hits – SNAP benefits stop adjusting for inflation. Grocery prices will keep going up, but your #SNAP benefits don't.

In January 2026, stricter work requirements will kick in for adults 50-54. In July 2026, states will start reporting compliance data to USDA. Here's why that matters: more paperwork means more people losing benefits over administrative confusion. This is how they cut #SNAP.
