@PeteMagazzu @RonDeSantis I cruise a lot and don’t disagree, however I fly all the time also and the thought of an airline managing security is scary since they can barley manage an airline

@RonDeSantis It takes 2 seconds to walk onto a cruise ship - same procedure - metal detectors, bag through a scanner. TSA is just not efficient or effective. Nothing against the people who work for them.

Aldi runs profitable grocery stores with fresh produce, meat, and dairy sections in some of the poorest neighborhoods of Kansas City, including one where a nonprofit grocer subsidized by the city to fight food deserts recently failed. Aldi is the best solution to food deserts we have, poor cities should be making puppy eyes at Aldi.

@TS_Secrets I tried to keep my kid on the rec teams, but the coaches didn’t take it serious, the competition didn’t take it serious, and his teammates were indifferent. Club was the best money I’ve spent in a long time.

Hector Resendez - Trade School Secrets
Tell me again how clubs, teams, and travel teams aren't scams? My $ 80-per-season son's soccer team beat a $ 5k-per-kid club team. Somewhere along the way, youth sports stopped being about kids and started being about parents. Club sports promise: • better coaching • more exposure • better competition • scholarships But the numbers tell a different story. Only about 1% of high school athletes get a college athletic scholarship. And most of those aren’t even full rides. Meanwhile, families are spending: • $3k–$7k a year on club teams • travel flights • hotels every weekend • private trainers • camps Over 10 years, that’s easily $50k+ per kid. For youth soccer. At 10 years old. Meanwhile, rec sports still do what youth sports were originally meant to do: Kids play with friends. Parents sit in lawn chairs. Everyone grabs pizza after the game. Low pressure. Pure fun. And kids who love the game usually end up getting better anyway. Our $80 rec team proved that last weekend. So I’m curious… Are travel sports actually for the kids…

@vegasstarfish @AlaskaAir It’s a really unfortunate situation to be stuck on a plane for so long but it’s not really the airlines fault that heavy snow and ice accumulated and disrupted operations. The airline can’t just park the plane on a taxiway and bus you guys off if all the gates are taken.

Hey @AlaskaAir we’ve been on the tarmac in Seattle for almost 4 hours with no update. They don’t have a gate for us. Our plane is just driving around in circles. We missed our connection to Tokyo. Any guidance would be appreciated.

A year ago, we hired an 18 year old right out of high school as a general laborer at $18/ hr. He crushed his first 8 months, and we gave him a significant raise at the start of this year. He's on track for another. Within 3 years, there's no reason he shouldn't be a lead carpenter making $30+ / hour. By his late 20s, he could be a foreman or project manager earning ~$100k. And if he wanted, he could start his own shop. Zero student loan debt with 40-45 hours work weeks and weekends free. He gets to work at job sites with views like this. As a keyboard warrior, blue collar life wasn't for me. But if school bores you or sitting at a desk makes you want to die, there are worse paths than this.

@BillKrackman I met a guy at a steakhouse in St Louis who sets up slots for casinos. Told us he can setup RTP down to 80% in most states and lower on cruise ships and it’s true that casinos have him setup certain locations with higher RTP %

This is a recent photo of the inside motherboard of a slot machine. The casinos are squeezing the public and making the RTP(return to player)on the machines lower and lower. This machine 83.96%, You have almost no chance of winning on machines this low. Every single time you push the button you lose 45 cents on a 3 dollar bet. At 500 spins an hour you are losing $225 an hour. Very few people even make 1/4 of that per hour. They are just draining our pockets and giving us less and less in return

@WallStreetApes So the fact that Walmart buys 100 times more than independent stores couldn't be the reason they get better pricing?

Walmart and Pepsi caught price fixing (with proof) “Walmart found a creative, illegal way to make sure they have the lowest prices” “They're forcing companies to raise prices on any competitor who dares to sell items at a lower psice than Walmart” There are court documents from a lawsuit the federal government filed that shows this is exactly what’s happening “Independent grocers have been trying to figure out why this is happening for years. It doesn't add up. They'd lose money on almost every sale if they matched Walmart's prices. Well, the answer is in these two documents. Documents that were recently unsealed after the government tried to bury them. The evidence that's in there is explosive. I mean, it's just, it was beyond what I was expecting.”

As much as we mess around on here, we care A LOT about security and preventing our players from ever having to deal with shit like this. To get technical: we have a state-of-the-art bot detection system that leverages deep learning to classify AI-generated strategy & behavior in real-time. Our models scrutinize gameplay patterns by referencing a combination of our RL gameplay models, game statistics, and player behavior to discern between human and bot actions, allowing us to effectively differentiate the two. TLDR: yeah we might make fun of people on twitter, but we’re serious where it matters: making sure our players don’t get fleeced by a bunch of obese nerds running a bot farm in their stepdad’s garage.
Martin Zamani@martin_zamani

Massive bot farm on Ignition/Bovada. They’ve know about for ages and done nothing. It’s highstakes and this isn’t the entire operation either and they just don’t care. Enough is enough of this shit. (I didn’t create the bot or the video) I don’t think this is happening on other major sites either. It always affects me very negatively to post things but I still do not sure why.

Performative proposal. Congress, fed govt can try to take real steps on macro issues: 1. Propose federal legislation for sports betting 2. Fix CFTC/prediction market/sports betting mess Politicos talking tough on props shows a lack of understanding of the nuanced issues wrt trust, integrity & consumer confidence.
